This video is incredibly relevant to art:
www.facebook.com/gary/videos/1…Like Shia Labouf says, DON'T LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS. Every single day you should be putting in work to that big goal, that grand scheme of things. Some days you may not be able to do too much, but a little bit every single day goes a long way.
I had a few people message me over my Forum post getting people riled up and motivated to do something. Where I talk about working a lot to achieve success in what you want to do. The messages kind of read like "you shouldn't advise people to work so hard that they will injure themselves or their hands". So lets break this thing down, if you are literally working so much that your hand is hurting. Go take a break! But its funny that the messages I received were from people ALREADY working as artists lol. Yes, injuring your hand is a thing, but guess what got you that job as an artist? It wasn't sleeping in, it wasn't going to that party, it wasn't playing that video game.
The reason some people can draw really really well, is because
collectively over the course of years they've drawn A LOT. This just means they have a habit to draw. Not that they suddenly decided to binge draw for 15 hours straight one random night. So understand when I say work a lot, using the example of a professional artist: working at LEAST 8 hours a day 5 days a week, thats 40 hours where they are already making art that is not including their own stuff (literally the definition of consistency).
So to recap, injuring yourself is very real if you are binging doing art. Improvement is a steady thing, just make sure you're putting in work frequently (every day) and you will for sure see improvement without injuring yourself.

In other news, I'm going to be releasing some new work sometime this month of stuff I've been up to. Let me know what you guys are interested in seeing if there are requests.
